Chinese Imperial Shih Tzu

The Chinese Imperial Shih Tzu is another downsized variation of the breed, often weighing between 5–9 pounds. They share the same affectionate personality and appearance as standard Shih Tzus but in a smaller frame. Many breeders market them as a “rare” or special type, but in reality, they are simply miniature Shih Tzus, not a separate official breed. Because of their tiny size, they may be more delicate and require gentle handling and attentive care.
