Can Shih Tzu see spirits or angels? When your Shih Tzu is visibly barking at Nothing, is it barking at a “Ghost”?
Sometimes, does your Shih Tzu stand in a certain place in the house and bark at seemingly “nothing”? As a Shih Tzu owner, have you ever wondered if your pet can see something you’re not seeing? Are dogs sensitive?
It’s even more eerie when the Shih Tzu is staring directly at the wall or a particular area while barking, and you can’t see anything at all!
Whether your Shih Tzu can sense the supernatural or not is a topic that has been widely researched by scientists.
According to Animal Planet, many dog owners believe that the Sixth Sense is due to the fact that dogs have many of their senses more acute than humans.
For example, Shih Tzu’s hearing and sense of smell are exceptional, and their vision allows them to spot small movements as well. They can perceive subtle shifts; their sense of smell is 1,000 to 10,000 times stronger than humans’, and they can hear high-frequency sounds.
Regarding their supernatural sense, there are many testimonials from family members who claim that a dog senses when the owner is going to die. There are also reports of dogs staying by their owners’ beds towards the end of life or even at their graves after death. Many believe that dogs sense death.
Do Shih Tzus sense negative energy in the environment? Many believe so, but there is no way to prove it.
The truth is that we still don’t know why Shih Tzu barks at what seems to be nothing. Expert Miller says there’s no way to know if your Shih Tzu really can sense a “ghost” or not, but she believes “when you see a dog standing visibly barking at nothing, there’s a good chance it’s barking at an entity, spirit, or energy that doesn’t belong in that place.”
If your Shih Tzu is barking at the energy or spirit of someone who has passed away, or just barking at a different smell your neighbor is cooking, we’ll never know!
What we do know is that dogs are truly amazing, and the more we get to know them, the more we love them!!!
